A Word of Thanks to Phil Johnson
Many of you know that Phil Johnson is retiring from Pyromaniacs. Phil has a lot on his plate and will continue to work diligently for Grace to You. He will be leaving Pyro in the capable hands of Frank Turk and Dan Phillips. Phil is the one who advised me to start a blog on my own. He also listed me on his blog roll and mentioned me a few times in his posts. Phil will be missed in the blogosphere, but God will be using his talents to a greater degree with John MacArthur and Grace to You. Thank you Phil for all your encouragement and wisdom. May God richly bless your ministry!

A Letter from Mac MacArthur
Dear Eddie,
I am the cousin of pastor John MacArthur. I know how you admire him so I wanted to send this photo of him as a wee lad. He is pictured here reading MY book. Every time he came over he would grab that book and read it for hours. I finally gave him an autographed copy of his own on his thirteenth birthday.
Keep up the good work!

Fan Photo from John Philson
A few years ago, I was invited to attend a surprise birthday party for John MacArthur. (His birthday is the same as C.H. Spurgeon, y'know) It was a thrill to be among the thousands and hear an expository message on the entire book of Romans. John Philson took this snapshot of the east side of the crowd. If you want better detail, then click on the photo. Thanks for the wide lens shot of half the room! I'll be sending you either a check for $7,000 or a copy of Against Calvinism by the Three Amigos.

What If?

What if God had not intervened in John MacArthur's life? There is no doubt he would have become JMac the Bible Rapper. He got Book. He got style. He got the boom box on a free trial.
Can anyone out there think of a good rap for Mr. Mac?
John...ya know I loves ya guy! You have blessed my socks off many a time!
I am thankful, as you are, that God gotcha.
Peace out my brutha!
My thanks to Sir Brass for inadvertently giving me this idea!
