Left Behind

Smegley Parsons, a long-time CC member, sent me this photo, via iPod, of Nigel Pettibone. He is seen here trying to hail a taxi. He doesn't know I am, at this very moment, headed back to the States.

Nigel Pettibone in Sandstorm

Nigel Pettibone was photographed as he runs for cover during a Kuwait sandstorm. $7,000 goes to Lin Ye Tang for emailing me this photo and for successfully planting a tracking device on Mr. Pettibone's cane. Good work, Lin Ye!

Fan Photo from Shanaynay Jones

This photo arrived today from Shanaynay Jones. The Goober twins are at it again. They claim to be "Evandalists". Note the red letters on the sign. It appears Bob and Rob are traveling through Oklahoma at the present. Please continue to send in photos of these two if you spot them. We will use them as evidence if they are ever arrested. They are slippery as a seal covered with Oil of Olay.

Corky and the Nematode Worm

Another one of Ray Palmer's great photographs. This time Corky is posing next to a Nematode worm. Watch out, Corky! Don't let one of those "sticky tongues" grab you!

Fan Photo from Ray Palmer

Thanks to Ray Palmer for sending in this photo of Corky Velveeta. It appears they are both in some unidentified microscopic place. Ray does a lot of microscopic photography when he is not fighting crime. Corky and Ray have been friends since high school. Nothing like hanging out with old friends and catching up on each others lives.

Finney & Wesley Spotted on 66

Benny Finney and Elvis Wesley were photographed on route 66 by Calvinistic Cartoons follower, T-Bone Willis, Sunday afternoon. T-Bone stopped and talked to Benny while they filled their tanks with unleaded gas. Mr. Finney is drumming up some cash for a new project that promises to "ban non-free will people from all future elections". When asked about Calvinistic Cartoons, Benny spit on the ground and yelled, "Get away from my chapel ya rotten apple!" Then he sprayed T-Bone with a seltzer bottle full of Mountain Dew and left  without Elvis Wesley. Thirty seconds later Benny Finney rounded the gas station and Elvis jumped in and they both sped away shaking their fists.

Fan Photo from Winslow Schott

enlarge for detail

Thanks to Mr. Winslow Schott who sent us this old toy set. We here at Calvinistic Cartoons were not aware of this product that sold in toy stores in the 1954. Even Mr. Eddings had no idea this had taken place. He told us he would travel back to 1953 and visit the creator of this marvelous work.
We Googled Mr. Schott's name and have decided not to send the usual $7,000 gift. We sent cookies instead.

Fan Photo from Miss Scarlett

Thanks, Miss Scarlett, for the photo of Col. Mustard in the library with the wrench. I didn't think that your photo deserved the $7,000 prize money until I noticed something different on each shelf. Enjoy the cash! Readers will have to click on the picture to be able to find out what I'm referring to.

Fan Photo from Jubilation T. Cornpone

Hey Mr. Spaceman,
I have been a stamp collector for over thirty years. I came across your blog just a few days ago and noticed a photo of Corky Velveeta. I knew I had seen his image before and checked my U.S. stamps. Sure enough, this photo of my 1939 New York World's Fair has a certain shape you might find interesting. Thought I would send it to you. I don't need any reward money for this because I am very wealthy and own most of downtown L.A.
Feel free to use this letter and photo in your blog.
Your new fan,
Jubilation T. Cornpone

Corky Comic #21

A nice, big fat check for $7,000 will be sent to Harvey Loopis for sending this cover of issue number 21 of the Corky Velveeta Comic Book. This indicates that there was a run of the series. It amazes me that Corky never mentioned this to me. One more indication of the humility and character of our much loved icon. What a guy! What a grenade!
