10 Things "Posted" on Facebook
I've learned so much from my mistakes, I'm thinking of making a few more.

Explain This!
I'm not sure what is being taught in this picture. It gave me a brain freeze.
Please help with a reasonable explanation while my brain defrosts.

Widget In or Widget Out
Some have noticed the Top Commentators widget has been acting like an angry Arminian. It seems to change it's mind with the weather. I have loaded and reloaded it and always get - "Bad Request Error 400" each and every time. Blame it on my kerosene-powered computer, my ignorance of protocol, or blame it on the fact that I am living in Kuwait.
(There are more restrictions here than in the States)
Whatever the reason, this fidgety widget can be a little frustrating to those who pay attention to it. For that I apologize and thought I would put it to a vote.
If you can accept a fallen widget in a fallen world vote YES.
If you want this widget to be banished to the Isle of Patmos vote NO.
I would love some feedback and/or suggestions.

Is The Widget Working?
I have doubts that my newest widget is working properly. Numbers of comments have seemed to decrease from certain individuals lately. I may need to reload it or replace it with another widget from another source. So please let me know if you detect any discrepancies in its functioning. Thanks, amigos.

Comments Always Welcome
Why not take a few minutes today to comment on some of your favorite blogs? It is a sure way to encourage those who love to encourage others. It takes little effort and your remarks might just make someone's day. (especially to those bloggers who get very few comments) If Davey, who is made of clay, can do it - so can you. As Abraham Lincoln once said, "If I were bloggin' and no one let me know they were out there, somewhere, reading...I would probably stick to Facebook or Twitter."

Hit and Run
There are three kinds of hit-and-run commenters I know of...
One spams his agenda. Ever so often, I have to delete these Chinese comments that are just a link to some x-rated site. Or they just want to advertise their web site. They comment once, never to be seen again.
The second kind, likes to jam a complaint, or state their theological position. That's more than fine with me but, when you respond to their comment, or ask a question, they never answer. So they hit and never return.
The third kind, seldom, if ever, comments. They just enjoy reading what others have to say. When they do comment, it is usually a home run. They are as encouraging as a new friend stopping by and having a cup of coffee.
Here is your chance to step up to the plate. If you have never commented before...or maybe just left a note or two...make yourself known! Just a few words will be like a candle that lights up a old school house that has been exposed to radiation. Just a word or two can give strength to an old soldier who has come home to find his chevy stolen and his garbage can missing. Just one word can lift the spirit of a man who has wasted a lot of time today trying to fix a broken scanner. I know you are out there. And even if you choose not to type a single letter, I am glad you came. Make yourself at home. Kick off your shoes and stay awhile.

New Look New Offer
With the new look at Calvinistic Cartoons (hope it agrees with all of your aesthetic sensibilities) I am making a brand new offer! One that will be easy for everyone!
The person who makes the millionth comment on this blog will receive a nice, crisp ten dollar bill! That's right! Ten bucks for just making a few comments! Get busy dear readers, there's a ten spot a'waitin'.

Comments are like Tips
I wish I could thank everyone personally for taking the time to comment on my blog.
Tips help to know you are doing something right. The more the better.
Unless, of course, it's counterfeit...then I will be taken to police headquarters and questioned until I confess. Please don't let that happen. I thank thee.

Time Travel for Laughs
Time traveler, Tim Micer, has the right idea! He is traveling back to the Calvinistic Cartoons archives and adding some very funny comments and captions. Some of these will be used in the future in my "Something Old Something New" feature. These new humorous lines will be seen in the "recent comments" section on the right of the site. So turn on the time machine, let it warm up for a few seconds, and locate an old entry that needs some improvement! It would be a "crime" (that's "Micer" scrabbled) to leave your funny side of the brain in limbo. (No, I don't believe in limbo...except for the dance and the pole thing that you go under with music and fun and the pineapples and the rhythm and the falling...oh laady!)

How to Minister to Christian Bloggers
Here is how YOU can encourage and minister to Christian bloggers. COMMENT. Yes, saints of God, it is just that simple. I am not talking about my blog particularly (although, I DO include myself) but many out there (some are listed on the right as the blogs I follow) need to know that people are reading and appreciating their labor. And sometimes it is laborious to maintain a blog. Even more encouraging is to become a follower of a blog. Some of these blogs continue without even one comment in months. I would like to point out one - Chronicles of a Chronically Random Girl - Her avatar is Reformed Anonymous Girl in Pain. She is struggling with health issues every minute of the day and can't always blog like she would like. I know a few comments would put a smile on her face. I am not suggesting that you post comments insincerely, I am just suggesting that you take a few minutes, ever so often, and post a comment on someone's blog. (Some blogs already have numerous comments - I am mainly talking about those that get little or none.) Thanks for listening (or reading)...maybe some of you who have never posted a comment will give it a try. As C.H. Spurgeon once said, "If I had a computer I would blog. If I had a blog I would write. If I wrote I would want some response from somebody so that I would forge on in battle...and I would let Eddie Eddings Photoshop pictures for me." Remember, you can encourage someone today by merely typing a few words! Once again, I thank thee for thy kindness.
