The Post Doesn't Enlarge

Dear Corky,
I don't know if anyone else has this problem but when I click on Arminian Antics to enlarge it, it doesn't. Some posts enlarge with no problem, but if the proportions have a lot more height - it doesn't seem to work. The picture seems clearer but the size changeth not.
Can someone help?
Julius Jankins

Dear J.J.,
If all else fails then right click and choose "Open link in new tab" - it will instantly appear at the top of your screen. Click it and enlarge away.

10 Things "Seen" on Facebook

Whenever I wake up on my own, I am automatically thrown in a panic of whether or not I slept through my alarm.

It’s time to clean the refrigerator when something closes the door from the inside.

I try to live every day as though it were my last, and who wants to do laundry on the last day they’re alive?

Remember when multiplication was fun? It was the best of times.

Life is not fair, but life is not fair for everyone. So I guess that actually makes it fair.

On my first day of school my parents dropped me off at the wrong nursery. There I was… surrounded by trees and bushes.

I used to be in a band called ‘Missing Dog’. You probably saw our posters.

It bothers me when I see tax money wasted on signs telling deer where to cross the road.

Living on Earth is expensive, but it does include a free trip around the sun.

Say no to drugs. Although if you’re talking to drugs you may already be on drugs.

CC's Youngest Follower

Hi Eddie,

Last week my daughter Rebekah took this picture of my grandson, Jimmy,  checking out his favorite blog. They visited us for 2 weeks.
I normally keep the tulip  sculpture on the shelf above the computer desk, but set it next to the monitor for this photo.

In Christ's care,

On the Level

My computer crashed on October 27th. I lost everything. Well, almost everything. I had made a backup disk in August with some of my ideas and posts. But, I no longer have the large volume of resources. If you have ever had this experience, you know how it feels. It's like a Texas tornado ripped through my trailer park blog
and destroyed my home.
I couldn't make this announcement until the "Hiatus" post appeared because it would have spoilled the joke. You see, I have everything pre-scheduled until January 1, 2011, with an additional post on January 8. I like to work far in advance, because ideas don't always come to me on a daily basis...and in emergencies, like this one.
My son-in-law has been the biggest help to me. He reformatted my computer twice to no avail. He literally spent days trying to at least get my computer on crutches so I could work. (My computer died while I was doing a free-lance job for my brother-in-law in Houston) My son-in-law has now loaned me a computer from his office. It's an old, large tower that won't even fit in my computer desk. It has some concerns...it has just cut off and rebooted three or four times, in the last three days. I don't have internet connected yet. I hope to get that fixed today.

Here is what I would like you to pray about, if you would be so kind:
Pray that I get a permanent job soon. (I should be getting my work visa shortly, under my son-in-law's company) I have been doing free-lance -- but that is few and too far between. Getting a permanent job would allow me to buy a computer (they are like twice the price here) with my first paycheck.
I am not able right now, to check CC daily - but, please continue to comment. I will comment when I can and will let everyone know when I land a job and/or get a new, reliable computer.
Thanks for your prayers in this matter.
Glory to His Name!

Need More Time

This is not an original idea.
I saw this on a t-shirt in Dubai. I just improved it.

A Calvinist in Kuwait

Hey everybody!
I have lots to tell you. Just no time right now. My computer isn't here yet so I am presenting another Baklava Koos Koos for your entertainment. It is Ramadan here and it feels like I stepped into a sauna every day when I leave the apartment I am living in. Pray for me to find a job. I plan on checking with the newspapers and television stations who might need an American style cartoonist on board...and I need a monitor before I can "hook up" my 'puter when it arrives. Driving is a scary experience with the roundabouts and the tailgating. Please stay tuned. I will be back in full force, Lord willing, before long. I hope to find another Calvinist brother somewhere. Pray for that also. Thanks amigos! btw, the Hard Rock Cafe seen above is just a few blocks from my home.

Letter of Concern

The following is a letter I received from Koko Kula, who lives in the Okavango Delta in Botswana:

Eddie,
I have noticed lately that there has been no Caption Contests, no Lyrical Miracles or T&G, Chic & Gumbo, or Calvinist Cartoons per se. What on earth is going on? Sorry about the snail mail but, we haven't had electricity in four months and my computer was stolen by a Roman Catholic priest named, Father Nada Priest, and dashed against large stones. I have vowed never to drink Sprite because it contains the word "priest"! He has threatened to come back and have me beaten with rods. But, I am more concerned with the changes in your blog. Would you give me some insight as to why you haven't been Photoshopping lately?
Thank you for the seven laughs,
Koko

Koko,
Thanks for taking the time to write. I needed to explain what has been happening lately and you have provided the perfect springboard to do so. My daughter, son-in-law, and grand-daughter are in from Kuwait. The only Photoshop loaded computer is now in the baby's room. I have only a two hour window, in the mornings to do my Photoshopping before I leave for work. Needless to say, I can't go in there without waking the baby. Someday, I hope to own a laptop. That day isn't here yet. When I come home from work, I am working on other important projects. Our two other daughters will be flying in from Colorado soon and staying with us as well. But, all of this is temporary. I will get back to Photoshopping and contests (because I can't create the certificates - I have decided to postpone the contests) (I will try to come up with another kind of contest, in the near future, where certificates are not needed - I am open to suggestions!) Anyway, I appreciate your concern.
Your friend,
Eddie
