A Letter from Placebo Belkins

This package came in from the U.S. yesterday from a Dr. Placebo Belkins. Included in the envelope were some DVD's of Belkins lecturing at Yale. (not the university - the Yale Lock and Hardware Company) Here is part of the three page letter sent:

Dear Mr. Eddings,

I hope this letter finds you in good health. I am interested in becoming a writer for your blog. As you can see by the printed copies of my certifications, I am more than qualified to direct your funny little blog into a more focused theological one. I hear you are leaving for the States this summer. I would like to suggest you hire me for the three months in which you'll be traveling. I happen to know you will be visiting Houston, Dallas, Durango and London, England.
I am willing to work for half my normal fee of $200 a day. I promise more readers, more followers, more comments, more pizzazz and more solid content. It's easy to see your days are numbered. You can't keep this up forever. Take a mental vacation and let me take over the writing for the months of June, July and August. You won't be sorry.

Waiting for your response,
Dr. Placebo Belkins

P.S. There is no tracking device in this envelope.

When I finished reading the letter, I began to put everything back in the large envelope. That's when I noticed...inside the package - glued to the bottom - was a tracking device with the initials N.P. written on the top. The only N.P. I know of, besides Natalie Portman, is Nigel Pettibone! This was a trap! I have destroyed the package and it's contents. Hope it wasn't too late.

Back Back Back in the QQQ8

Well, friends and neighbors, my wife and I arrived in Kuwait and I have already recorded a radio commercial for Zain Telecommunications. It's good to be back "home" and am anxious to get back in the swing of things. I have got plenty on new ideas to Photoshop into semi-reality. So sit back, relax and enjoy the show.
This is Thailand...not Kuwait.
Still Thailand...not Kuwait.
Not Thailand...Kuwait

A Short Note then Off to Thailand

Had a fabulous time in the States! On the flight back, my wife and I had an entire 6 seat row for ourselves. She got the 4 seats so she could lay down and sleep...I got the two, because I can't sleep long on a plane. I take short naps.
We've been in Kuwait for five days - staying up until 4:30 and 5:00 a.m.
We are leaving for Thailand this afternoon for the final two weeks of our vacation. As you can see in the photos, Corky has already gone ahead and made preparations for us. By the time we arrive, he will be headed back to the U.S. to hand out more $7,000 packages for any who know the right phrase to say when they meet him. Keep a look out for Corky in your neighborhood and continued prayer for Mary and I are always appreciated!
(For Father's Day, my kids gave me a Kindle and for my advance B-Day gift, my wife bought me an iPod Touch. -- I am advancing technologically at a snail's pace, and lovin' every minute!)

Corky's Place

Corky Velveeta is taking a few days off to chill in his new apartment. He will be flying to an undisclosed place on Friday, June 24, on a special assignment for Calvinistic Cartoons. I will be leaving for the U.S. on Monday, June 20 with my wife, daughter and grand-daughter, for a much needed vacation. Corky likes long flights...I dread them. He can store plenty of snacks and beverages in his grenade costume. If you recognize him at the airport terminal, don't forget to walk up to him and say, "Cotton Adams was a Calvinist". That phrase will win you a seven layer bundle of one thousand dollar bills. BCNU.

A Letter from Bobo Laughface

Dear Eddie,
You may not know this but, even though I am a follower of Arminian Antics, I still read your blog whenever I feel down. Like right now. As you may or may not know, (you choose) I was on a $7,000 paid vacation (I won this by telling Corky Velveeta that Cotton Adams was a Calvinist) and I ran out of money on the second day of my stay in the Cayman Islands. I really could use another $7,000 to get back home! I have already asked every Arminian friend and relative I know, and they all chose to say no. So I thought I would ask any Calvinist out there if he, or she, feels predestined to hand over seven grand to a man with needs. I can promise that when I return home, I will start asking for money to pay you back AND with 2% interest for your trouble. I hear most Calvinists are richer than a bowl of Cool Whip and wanted to let you know that to help an Arminian is like helping a human being. Thank you and best of luck,
Bobo Laughface

Time for me to say Farewell

Well, looks like it is time for me to go. I really hate to drop Calvinistic Cartoons but, for everything there is a season...and it's my season to vacation in Dubai. I will be leaving for Dubai on Saturday and returning the next Saturday, August 28. Until then, you will not even notice. I have everything pre-scheduled now until September 25, so enjoy a week of Just for Laughs. See you all when I get back!

Corky's Last Day of Vacation

Corky on his last day of vacation in Jeffrey's Bay. He works hard and plays hard. His next assignment will take some time to get there since he has decided to drive. Corky has just recently won the "Best Costumed PR Dude of 2010" even though the year isn't up yet. Congrats ol' friend! Watch out for those wacky jelly fish! Don't step on the starfish! And look behind you occasionally!

Just Got Back from Dubai

My wife and I just got back from a mini-vacation in Dubai. I had no computer with me so I wasn't able to respond to any questions or comments. Came back refreshed and with some really good ideas for future posts. (I have all my CC pre-scheduled a month in advance) But FYI, feel free to post anything from my blog to yours!
